Our horses have the benefit of grass and all weather gallops plus beautiful countryside, woods, leafy lanes and peaceful surroundings in which to prepare for racing.
We have various schooling facilities about the farm from natural logs to regulation fences and hurdles. We place a huge emphasis on jumping. Speed and accuracy win races and not all horses are natural jumpers, we're also fortunate enough to have the use of a full olympic size arena with poles,baby hurdles and fences at Barrow Hill which is a 10 minute hack from our Gallop great for starting the babies off at this time of year we use it about 3 times a week with the vast majority of our horses as it has a beautiful rubber cushioned surface.New for 2010/11 is our round sand circle which can accomodate 10 horses comfortably at any given time , after plenty of research we purchased Wexford sand which came over from Ireland and is proving invaluable.
Our covered horse walker helps to provide a welcome cool down after exercise, which benefits horses returning to work after significant lay off creating controlled exercise.
